Athletic Training

Sweet Briar College Athletic Training supports all NCAA varsity athletic teams by providing services related to athletic injuries to student athletes including illness/injury prevention, emergency care, evaluation, rehabilitation, treatments and administrative duties. Colleen Frickie, our Head Athletic Trainer, works directly with the student athletes to oversee the total health care for each individual. The athletic training facility at Sweet Briar College houses equipment, supplies and space to accommodate various functions of the athletic training program.

Before a coach is permitted to allow a student-athlete to participate in a try-out, practice or game, all required health and insurance information must be on file in the athletic training room with Head Athletic Trainer, Colleen Frickie.
