Field Hockey Hits The Road Against Bryn Athyn

BRYN ATHYN, Pa.- The Sweet Briar College field hockey team paid a visit to Bryn Athyn College on Saturday afternoon. The host Lions scored six first-half goals on way to an 11-0 victory.

First-year Kaleigh Ness made her first career start in goal for Sweet Briar. The Red Lion, Pa. native had a solid debut, making 20 saves in the contest.

SBC registered three shots in the match, with Rachel Rogers, Alexis Jones, and Chelsea McKinney all getting tallies in the shot column.The Vixens also earned two penalty corners in the match.

Sweet Briar will return to action Wednesday at Randolph-Macon College. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
