    Sweet Briar, VA- With over 110,000 votes being cast and 40,000 of them coming in the final 10 hours, the Sweet Briar College Vixens edged out the Alfred University Saxons in the championship round of the Sports Illustrated: Campus Rush Division III Best Mascot Tournament.

  • Vixen Swim Coach Competes At Nationals

    Head swimming coach and aquatics director Donna Hodgert competed at the US Masters Swimming Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. this past weekend. The event was held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center, which also hosted the 2016 ODAC Championships and NCAA Division III Championships.

    The annual Sweet Briar College athletics banquet was held on Thursday, April 28, in the Sweet Briar Conference Center. The department presented its six major awards along with varsity letters and individual team awards.
  • Riding Claims Fourth At ANRC Nationals

    The Sweet Briar riding program competed at the American National Riding Commission Nationals over the past weekend. Centenary College hosted competition at their equestrian center in Hackettstown, N.J. and the young Vixen squads placed fourth in both the novice and national division.
  • Vixen Riding Claims ODAC Title For Second-Straight Season

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- For the second year in a row and fourth overall, the Sweet Briar College equestrian team has claimed the ODAC Equestrian Title. This is the Vixens third title in the past five years, having won the championship in 1987, 2012, 2015, and now 2016.
