Trio of Vixens earn APHA NCEA Academic Honor Roll

WACO, Texas — Three Sweet Briar riders have been recognized by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association as members of the American Paint Horse Association NCEA Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Tuesday.

Seniors Courtney Barry (Aspers, Pa.) and Makayla Benjamin (Leesburg, Va.), are joined by junior Emily Schlosberg (Fairfax, Va.) as honorees in 2018.

This is the second academic honor in 2018 for each of the three riders after Barry and Benjamin previously earned First Team Farnam NCEA All-Academic honors, while Schlosberg received a second team nod.

The APHA NCEA Academic Honor Roll recognizes the top academic student-athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
