  • Eight Student-Athletes Named To 2016-17 ODAC Sportsmanship Teams

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced it's 2016-17 Sportsmanship Teams and eight Sweet Briar student-athletes have been selected to the team for their respective sport. The squads are comprised of a student-athlete selected by the coaches staffs of each team competing under the banner with all sports and schools fully represented.

    Sweet Briar College today announced the appointment of noted scholar, liberal arts advocate, experienced administrator and global leader for women’s education Meredith Woo as the College’s 13th president. She will succeed Phillip C. Stone, who will retire in May 2017.

The Vixens will be competing at a number of tournaments throughout the region and then conclude their season at the annual Old Dominion Athletic Conference Golf Championships.

    The Sweet Briar SAAC and Chaplain's Office are once again joining forces to provide gifts for local children in need this holiday season. In the FAC lobby is an angel tree with information on different children at Miriam's House, a shelter serving homeless single women or mothers and their children in Lynchburg.
