RALEIGH, N.C. --- After taking a 5-4 win in the first road match of the day, Sweet Briar College made the short commute from William Peace University to Meredith College. The Vixen side was unable to carry momentum into the afternoon match and fell to host Meredith.
SBC was not able to gain a point in doubles action. The team headed into singles competition looking to break back, however the Avenging Angels proved too much as each Meredith player secured straight set wins.
Vixen Tennis returns to campus with the weekend split to their credit and will now turn attention toward conference play. Old Dominion Athletic Conference contests begin on Friday, March 1 when SBC travels to Roanoke, Va. for a match with Hollins University. On Sunday, March 3, the tennis team hosts ODAC front-runner Washington and Lee University on Sweet Briar's campus.
