Vixen Tennis Earns Road Win

RALEIGH, N.C. --- In a rescheduled match with William Peace University, the Sweet Briar College tennis team earned a 5-4 victory.  Senior Sarah Manter (Brunswick, Maine/Brunswick) and #2 doubles partner Emma Merritt-Cuneo (Pacifica, Calif./Oceana) gave the Vixen side a point heading into singles match play.  Manter and Merritt-Cuneo, energized by their doubles 8-2 win, each secured points for SBC in singles competition.

Vixen Tennis entered singles competition down 2-1.  First-year Mary Elise Dugan (Alexandria, Va./Chatham Hall) added a point with her first collegiate win (6-3, 6-2).  Courtney Todd (Sterling Va./Dominion) rounded out SBC scoring to give the team its first win of the spring season.

Immediately following the match with William Peace, Sweet Briar travels to Meredith College for another non-conference match.
