The Sweet Briar tennis season claimed their first victory of the season in pulse pounding fashion on Friday evening.  The Vixens traveled to Ferrum College and walked away with a 5-4 win over the Panthers.

Sweet Briar jumped out to an early lead, taking two of three doubles matches.  The teams of Emily Wandling/AJ Lukanuski and Anna Colvin/Sam Yew notched victories for SBC.  Ferrum mounted a comeback during singles play, but wins by Wandling and Colvin made it a 4-4 match.  That set the stage for heroics from AJ Lukanuski.  Lukanuski provided the match point for Sweet Briar with her win at #2 over Ferrum's Alexandria White.
