Fitness and Athletics Center

The 53,000 square-foot FAC offers racquetball and squash courts, a spinning room and a multi-purpose event space in the Upchurch Field House.

The FAC includes the Williams Gymnasium and the Prothro Natatorium, in addition to locker rooms, aerobics, free-weight and fencing rooms.

In addition to meeting the needs of the athletics department and serving as a wellness center for the entire Sweet Briar community, the FAC offers students a place to gather to study or watch TV in the Robertson Recreation Lounge, catch a film or lecture in the 1948 Theater, attend a class in the Wood Multi-Purpose Room or dine in the Houston Bistro. The Athletics Hall of Fame is located in Pottsie’s Lobby.
