The Sweet Briar Vixens took on the conference's first-place team from Roanoke College.  The Maroons were held to three goals, but beat the Vixens 3-0  today at Babcock Field at the Vixen's last home game of the season.

Much of the game was played on the Vixens defensive end of the field, consistently thwarting  attacks from the Roanoke Maroons offense.  Goalkeeper Seanne Weekes ('12/San Jose, Calif.) had a total of 11 saves for the day. Teammates Rachel Buechler ('14/Chesapeake, Va.) and Kat Alexander ('11/Asheville, N.C.) also contributed to the team effort with some aggressive defensive interceptions throughout the game.

The Sweet Briar team will meet up at Hollins University on Tuesday for a 3:30pm conference game.
