Box Score ALLENTOWN, Pa.- A goal and and assist from junior Des'rae Davis weren't enough to lead the Sweet Briar College soccer team to victory, as they fell 3-2 in overtime to Cedar Crest College on Monday afternoon.
After the host Falcons scored in the 15th minute, Davis tied the game on an unassisted effort just before the 30-minute mark.
Not to be out down, sophomore Jona Cumani headed home a cross from Davis less than ten minutes later to give Sweet Briar the lead. It was Cumani's first collegiate goal and Davis' third career assist.
The Falcons tied the game just before the 80th minute thanks to Kassandra Miller. The game would remain tied and overtime would be required to decide a winner. Courtney Long notched the game-winning goal to give Cedar Crest their fourth victory of the season.
Katie Tillson made 12 saves in the contest to continue her great season in net for the Vixens.
"Katie had a great performance in goal today, as she has for us all season," said Head Coach Amy Dahlin. "She is continuously coming up with big saves to keep us in games, including a great one-on-one save at the end of the first half today."
Along with Davis and Cumani, AJ Lukanuski also registered a shot on goal for the Vixens.
Sweet Briar will conclude their 2015 regular season campaign on Oct. 29 when they travel to Summit University. Opening kick is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
