Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va.- Playing its third game in five days, the Sweet Briar College soccer team fell behind early to Eastern Mennonite University on Wednesday night and was never able to overcome the deficit, falling 7-0.
Amanda Williams scored two of her three goals in the opening 12 minutes of the game. That pace set the tone for the game, as the host Royals outshot the Vixens, 35-1.
Once again, the Vixens shined defensively at pulling their opponents offside, doing so seven times this evening. Katie Tillson also continued her stellar play in goal for Sweet Briar, making eight saves.
The Vixens will next be in action at Babcock Field on Tuesday, Sept. 22 when Emory & Henry comes to campus for a 4 p.m. kickoff.
