Playing at Babcock Field for the second time this season, the Sweet Briar soccer team will host Emory & Henry on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 4 p.m.

Last Time Out: Playing their third game in five days, the Vixens fell on the road to Eastern Mennonite University. Sweet Briar fell behind early and was never able to make up ground, ending up on the wrong side of a 7-0 decision.

Holding The Back Line: The brightest spot for the Vixens defensively this has been their ability to draw oppenents into an offside position. Through four games, Sweet Briar's opposition has been called offside 29 times.

Scouting Emory & Henry: The Wasps come into Tuesday's game off a 2-0 home loss to Randolph-Macon. Junior midfielder Sam Sampson leads E&H with one goal, one assist, and seven shots. Seeing the majority of time in goal has been sophomore Kayla Wright, who has appeared in seven games and started five. In those contests she's allowed just five goals and made 23 saves. Her goals-against average of .87 and save percentage of .821 both rank fourth in the ODAC.
