SWEET BRIAR, Va.- Ranked 19th in the nation, the Lynchburg College women's soccer team paid a visit to local rival, Sweet Briar College. The Hornets lived up to their ranking, winning 10-0.

The Vixen defense was tested all night long as they faced 31 total shots. Sophomore Caroline Thomas came up with nine saves in the match.

Senior Des'rae Davis registered the Vixens lone shot on the day, a blast from distance.

It will be a quick turnaround for the Vixen soccer team, as Sweet Briar will travel to Shenandoah University for a 7 p.m. matchup on Friday night.

The Vixens will return home on Saturday, Oct. 29 for Senior Day, when they host Hollins University. Opening kick is scheduled for 12 p.m., with Senior Day festivities taking place before opening kick.
