SWEET BRIAR Va.- Nothing beats going out in style and that's what the Sweet Briar College soccer team did on Saturday, concluding their season with a 4-1 victory over rival Hollins University.

The game served as Senior Day for the Vixens, as the team's four seniors were honored prior to opening kick. Kayla Kishbaugh, Des'rae Davis, Ashton Reid, and Alicia Wooten all wrapped up their soccer careers on Saturday afternoon.

Wooten impressed mightily on Saturday, scoring two goals and assisting on another in the Vixens victory. The Columbia, Md. native will end her career with five goals and two assists.

Also getting on the score sheet was Davis, who finished off a long through ball from junior Melissa Wert to give SBC a 2-0 halfway through the first half. That gives Davis four goals and four assists for her career.

Kishbaugh picked up the assist on Wooten's first goal, ending her Sweet Briar career with seven goals and now seven assists. Today marked the 15th career start for Reid, playing just her second season of soccer for Sweet Briar.

The Vixens final goal of the day was scored by first-year Cassidy Bodkin. The Scottsdale, Ariz. native one-touched a pass from Wooten past the diving goalkeeper. This marks the first career goal for Bodkin.

Wooten led Sweet Briar with nine total shots on the day. Junior Alexa Dahlin was close behind with six shots, four of which were on frame. Also tallying shots for the Vixens were Elizabeth Phaup, Wert, Reid, and Lacey Tucker.

Caroline Thomas played the entire game in goal for the Vixens, making four saves. The sophomore will wrap up the season with 153 total saves.

The Vixens held a 24-10 shot advantage and also a 5-1 edge in corners.

Today's contest concluded the Vixens season and head coach Amy Dahlin will now turn her efforts to recruiting and preparing her team for next season.
