Box Score SWEET BRIAR, Va.- Playing their second game in as many days, the Sweet Briar College Vixens hosted Cedar Crest College in a nonconference soccer game on Sunday afternoon.
The visiting Falcons netted a goal in each half and controled the majority of possession to registered their second win of the season.
Jona Cumani, Cassidy Bodkin, Cassie Mills, and Alicia Wooten all registered shots for the Vixens during the contest. Caroline Thomas started her second game of the season in goal and made six saves.
The Vixens best scoring opportunity came late in the second half when Des'rae Davis sent a cross into the box and Cumani rose up for the header, but her effort went just wide of the post.
The Vixens will travel to Mary Baldwin University on Wednesday, Sept. 14, for a 5 p.m. opening kick.
