SWEET BRIAR, Va. — First-year goalkeeper Katelyn Meyer finished with 12 saves as the Vixens concluded their home slate on Wednesday, dropping a 5-0 decision to the Randolph WildCats.
Randolph (6-8-2, 2-7-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) tallied the eventual matchwinner in the fourth minute when Grace Jennings found the back of the net.
Sweet Briar (0-15-1, 0-9-0) would surrender a second goal before the opening period expired.
Randolph notched three additional goals in the second half, leaving Sweet Briar with a 5-0 victory.
Meyer (Smithsburg, Md.) finished with 12 saves, the ninth outing with double-digit saves this season for the first-year.
The Vixens wrap-up the 2019 season on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Eastern Mennonite.
