SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar soccer (2-6-0, 0-5-0 ODAC) was bested by the Ferrum Panthers (3-9-1, 2-4-0 ODAC) on senior day by a score of 7-0.
The Vixens held down the fort on defense for the first 15 minutes of the game, keeping the Panthers scoreless until the 15:12 mark. Another goal by Ferrum less than three minutes later would put them up 2-0. The Panthers would find the back of the net one more time before going into the half.
In the second half, Sweet Briar amped up its offense and saw more shot on goal opportunities and forced the Ferrum goalkeeper to make more saves. However, the Panthers' offense was just getting started, and added four more tallies to the scoresheet for the eventual 7-0 victory.
