SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar NCEA team will begin the 2022-23 season at Lynchburg on Friday, Oct. 7 for the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Meet of the Week.
Returning to the team this season are senior

Isabelle Mesiarik (Pottstown, Pa.),
Ella Peterson (Ashland, Va.),
Anna Grace Ross (Grayson, Ga.) and
McClain Suelthaus (St. Louis, Mo.)
Sweet Briar also welcomes seven newcomers in first-years
Maggie Booth (Marietta, Ga.),
Rachel Chard (Avon, Conn.),
Naomi Dachis (Franklin Lakes, N.J.),
Wyette Felton (Canton, Ga.),
Audrey Flattich (Statesboro, Ga.),
KG Giles (St. Johns, Fla.) and
Lauren Satola (Fulton, Md.).
The Vixens lead the all-time series against the Hornets, 3-1.
What to Know
- Both Atherton and Freeburg were named to the 2021-22 Ariat All-America Honorable Mention Flat Team.
- Head Coach Mimi Wroten '93 is the reigning Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Single Discipline Coach of the Year.
- Mesiarik is the reigning Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Rookie of the Year.
