No. 2 NCEA Readies for National Championship

SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The No. 2-seed Single Discipline Sweet Briar College NCEA team (7-2, 4-0 ODAC) is gearing up for the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Single Discipline National Championships, set to be contested at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla., tomorrow and Saturday.
 
The Vixens are set to take on the No. 3-seed Dartmouth College Big Green (4-3) in the semifinals.
 
The two programs had an extremely close contest back on Oct. 21st with the Big Green coming away with a narrow home victory on point totals following a 4-4 tie. Currently, the all-time series between Sweet Briar and Dartmouth rests in Sweet Briar's favor at 2-1.
 
This will mark the first meeting for both programs in the postseason as Sweet Briar looks to make an appearance in its fourth-straight Single Discipline Championship meet.
 
Fences competition will begin at 2 p.m. while flat action is slated to start at 4:05 p.m. The winner will take on the winner of No. 1 Lynchburg/No. 4 Sewanee on Saturday.
