SALEM, Va. – The Sweet Briar College cross country team concluded the 2025 season at the NCAA Division III South Regional Championships this afternoon.
First-year
Elaina Sherline (Morehead City, N.C.) crossed the finish line first for the Vixens at the 26:23.50 mark to place 117th.
Fellow first-years
Shiloh Thompson (Ruckersville, Va.) and
Ella Cate Johnson (Henderson, N.C.) were next across the line, completing the 6k race in 27:34.90 and 28:45.10, respectively.
Junior
Mia Viccora (Fairfax, Va.) completed the race in 29:27.60 while fellow junior
Amanda Costa (Watertown, N.Y.) saw a time of 31:39.20 as both competed in their first Regional Championship.
Highlights
- Sherline, Thompson, Johnson and Viccora all recorded new 6k personal best times today.
- The quarter also put their names in the record book for NCAA Regional results at fifth, 12th, 17th and 20th, respectively.
