RUSTBURG, Va. – The No. 5 single discipline Sweet Briar College NCEA (1-3, 0-2 ODAC) team was bested by the No. 1 single discipline University of Lynchburg Hornets (5-0) on the road today, 7-3.
The Vixens started the meet by earning two points in fences competition. Senior
Maggie Booth (Marietta, Ga.) earned an 85 on Archie to get a one-point victory over Madeline Rubin. First-year
Sadie Swift (Leonardtown, Md.) averaged a 78.5 to defeat her Hornets opponent by 23.5 points.
Sweet Briar's lone point on the flat was scored by Booth as well. The Georgia native's score of 79.5 was enough to beat Rebecca Collier on Van Gogh by 7.5 points.
