Kaitlyn Barbour was named head coach of the Sweet Briar soccer program on February 24th, 2022.

Barbour came to Sweet Briar after serving as the graduate assistant at Salem College for the past three seasons. While working for the Spirits, Barbour assisted in all aspects of the Division III program, such as helping with recruiting efforts, creating and executing training strategies, player development plans and game tactics, helping with film breakdown and leading study hall.
In addition to her coaching responsibilities with Salem, Barbour also served as the head coach of the North Carolina Rush Triad U16 and U19 teams.
 
A former player and captain for Averett University who started 59 of her 65 career matches, Barbour graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology & Sociology and Criminal Justice. The North Carolina native is currently working towards her Master of Education in School Counseling.
