Enza Steele joined the Sweet Briar College field hockey program as a volunteer assistant coach in 2024.
Prior to joining the Vixens, Steele was the head field hockey at the University of Lynchburg for 45 years. During her tenure, Steele was at the helm of a consistent NCAA Division III Top-20 team and accumulated over 600 wins, the most in Division III history. Steele helped lead the Hornets to 22 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) titles and earned 14 Coach of the Year honors while being inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Hall of Fame in January of 2020.
A native of Pompton Lakes, N.J., Steele earned her B.S. from William Paterson Unviersity before going on to earn an M.S. from Ithaca College.
