Karren Mann joined the Sweet Briar College field hockey program as a volunteer goalkeeper coach in 2024.
Before joining the Vixens, Mann spent seven years as the assistant goalkeeper coach at the University of Lynchburg, where her goalkeepers took the team to the Elite 8 twice.
Mann began her coaching career at her alma mater, the University of Mary Washington, where she specialized in goalkeeping instruction for both the field hockey and lacrosse programs. Following her time at Mary Washington, Mann went on to coach the women's lacrosse program at George Mason University for two seasons.
Mann also had coaching tenures at James Monroe High School and 11 years as the goalkeeper coach at Randolph-Macon College.
She has had much success with goalkeepers in the ODAC, as all her starters made conference teams and six were first-team all-conference.
A graduate of Mary Washington, Mann was a three-sport athlete in field hockey, basketball and lacrosse.
