Nicole Schimmenti enters her second year as the Athletic Communications Director after being named to the position in June of 2021. Schimmenti serves as the primary contact for all of the College's eight NCAA varsity sports and two equestrian programs while also overseeing Sweet Briar's chapter of the National College Athlete Honor Society.

In her role, Schimmenti handles the maintennce of vixenathletics.com, the creation of graphics and social media campaigns, the weekly SBC Athletics' newsletter, statistics, the annual Athletics & Riding Banquet as well as all public relations matters for the Department of Athletics.

Prior to joining Sweet Briar, Schimmenti worked in the Athletic Communications Department at Harvard University, serving as the primary contact for men's swimming and diving, men's tennis, men's and women's water polo and men's volleyball. She also served as the secondary contact for women's ice hockey while working football, men's ice hockey, and women's volleyball games. While at Harvard, Schimmenti also oversaw the opening round match of the 2020 NCAA Division I Men's Water Polo Championship.

A 2019 graduate of Niagara University with a degree in Sport Management with a concentration in Sport Operations and a minor in philosophy, Schimmenti went on to complete her Master's Degree in Sport Management from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2021. During her time at Niagara, Schimmenti completed internships in the Athletic Communications and Compliance Departments. She also worked at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics for the Olympic Broadcasting Services’ Archives Department while completing three semesters abroad at Myongji University in Seoul, South Korea.
