On Oct. 6 the Vixen soccer team traveled to Ashland, Va., to
play the Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon. The Vixens lost 4-0
after a tough battle.
The Vixens and Yellow Jackets put up a fight that had the game
tied 0-0 until the 65th minute. The game was a physical
battle. There were five yellow cards, and many hit posts, but in
the end it was the Yellow Jackets who would get momentum on their
side.
With 25 minutes left to play in the second half, the Yellow
Jackets converted on a corner kick that helped them pick up steam
on the way to their victory.
Leading the defense for the Vixens today was sophomore Seanne
Weekes (San Jose, Calif.) who had 16 saves in the net.
The Vixens are back in action this Thursday at home against
Randolph College at 4:30.
