The Vixen volleyball team hosted the Wasps of Emory & Henry
for tonight's conference game at Williams Gymnasium. The
Wasps took the match in three sets with scores of 25-12, 25-23,
25-16.
Vixen players contributing to tonights scoring effort include
first year player Andra Brumfield (Altavista, Va.) with a total of
six kills; senior Ashley Winters (Mechanicsville, Va.) with a
combination of five kills offensively and team high of eight digs
defensively; and Alexis Rukenbrod ('12/Laurel, Md.) with a total of
17 assists.
The Sweet Briar team will travel to Roanoke College for their
next conference match on September 16, game time scheduled for
6:30pm.
