Soccer Concludes 2016 Road Campaign At Virginia Wesleyan

NORFOLK, Va.- On Wednesday afternoon, the Sweet Briar College soccer team took on Virginia Wesleyan College. The Marlins remained unbeaten in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play with a 14-0 victory.

With the win, Virginia Wesleyan now sits at 6-0-3 in the ODAC, good enough for third place.

Caroline Thomas played all game in goal for the Vixens, making 11 saves. The sophomore has now made 149 saves in 12 games this season.

First-year Karlynn McCarthy recorded Sweet Briar's only shot on goal for the match.

Sweet Briar's season will conclude this Saturday, Oct. 29 when they host Hollins University. Opening kick is scheduled for 12 p.m., with Senior Day festivities taking place before opening kick.
