ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Sweet Briar won five individual events at Saturday afternoon's swim season opener at Cedar Crest's Rodale Aquatic Center.
Sophomore Dharma Kear (Virginia Beach, Va.) earned first-place points for Sweet Briar in the second event of the day, winning the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 7:04.85.
First-year Natalie Waldo (Woodstock, Ga.) won her first career event in the 100-yard butterfly, touching the final wall at 1:22.45.
Following Waldo's victory in event five, sophomore Lauren Graham (Atlanta, Ga.) was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle finishing at 28.57.
The Vixens' final individual victory was in the 200-yard freestyle, where Waldo won her second race of the day with a 2:34.96 finish.
Sweet Briar wrapped the afternoon with a time of 2:04.00 to win the 200-yard freestyle relay. The Vixens' relay squad was comprised of sophomore Sarah Ahson (Manassas, Va.), Kear, Waldo and Graham.
Cedar Crest topped the Vixens 120-81 in the team rankings at the conclusion of the meet.
The Vixens hit the pool at Washington & Lee on Saturday, October 13, when the ODAC Relays take place in Lexington, Va.
