SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar soccer (2-5-0, 0-4-0 ODAC) left it all out on the field in a 4-0 loss to the second place team in the conference, the Shenandoah Hornets (7-5-1, 3-0-1 ODAC).
Despite the rainy weather and tough playing conditions, the Vixens held their own on the field only allowing the Hornets one goal in the first half.
Tallying 36 shots in both halves, Shenandoah picked up the pace in the second and successfully converted three of those shots for the eventual 4-0 victory.
Highlights
- Junior goalkeeper Katelyn Meyer (Smithsburg, Md.) totaled 30 saves in the match, a new season and career high.
- This marks the fifth game this season that Sweet Briar has held opponents to one goal or less during one half of play.
