BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Sweet Briar swim team (8-4, 6-3 ODAC) fell to the Bridgewater Eagles this afternoon at Bridgewater, 150-41.
 
The lone first-place finish by the Vixens came from first-year 
Acadia ElzHowe (Georgetown, Texas) in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:17.48. Sophomore 
Kass Carpenter (Mechanicsville, Va.) also performed well in that race, coming in third.
 
In the mixed 100-meter, IM junior 
Peyton Murphy (Norfolk, Va.) came fourth, finishing the race in 18.03.
 
ElzHowe and Murphy finished third and fourth in the 50-meter freestyle with times of 29.97 and 30.75, respectively. Senior 
Rachael Mills (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.), first-year 
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.), Carpenter, first-year 
Gaby Aparicio (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala), junior 
Elizabeth Sanford (Charlotte, N.C.) and first-year 
Halle Moore (Waldorf, Md.) placed sixth through 11th.
 
Highlights
	- ElzHowe also earned a second-place finish in the 200-meter IM.
- Lewis nabbed third place in the 200-meter breaststroke with a time of 3:05.32.

Sweet Briar will head to the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, N.C. for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships, Feb. 10-13.
