SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The No. 2 Sweet Briar NCEA team (1-1, 1-1 ECAC) will head to No. 5 Sacred Heart (0-0, 0-0 ECAC) for a meet tomorrow, Oct. 22, at 10:30 a.m.
While this will be the Pioneers’ first meet of the season, the Vixens are 1-0 against the host school after taking them down last season 5-2.
Sweet Briar is coming off a 7-1 win over No. 4 Dartmouth last week which saw junior Emmy Longest (Hanover, N.H.) and senior Kacie Freeburg (Orlando, Fla.) earn Most Outstanding Performer nods in fences and flat, respectively.
First-year Wyette Felton (Canton, Ga.) also saw success against the Big Green, earning a team season-high 94 in flat competition.
What to Know
- Both Felton and Longest earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) weekly honors for their performance last week.
- Sophomore Katherine Atherton (Montpelier, Va.) swept MOP honors in last year’s contest against Sacred Heart with an 85 in fences and a 77.5 in flat.
