SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Sweet Briar swimming (2-1, 2-0 ODAC) will see action in back-to-back meets this week; first heading to Southern Virginia (1-1) tomorrow, Nov. 4 before hosting Virginia Wesleyan and Ferrum alongside Hampton-Sydney on Saturday, Nov. 5.
The Vixens are coming off wins over Guilford and Hollins last week, dominating the competition and earning first place finishes in all events contested.
Junior Kass Carpenter (Mechanicsville, Va.) captured three first-place finishes in the 200-meter medley relay, 800-meter freestyle and 200-meter backstroke.
Sophomore Mary Catherine Warner (Virginia Beach, Va.) also helped lead the team to a victory in the 200-meter medley relay while also finishing first individually in the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle.
Senior Peyton Murphy (Norfolk, Va.) and sophomore Gaby Aparicio (Quetzaltenango, Guatemala) also added to Sweet Briar’s win total.
What to Know
- The Vixens lead the all-time series against Ferrum with a 5-1 record after defeating the Panthers in the last three matchups.
- Saturday’s tri-meet will mark the last home event for Sweet Briar for the 2022-23 season.
