AMHERST, Va. – Sweet Briar soccer (0-3-0, 0-0-0 ODAC) fell to the Pfeiffer Falcons (1-2-0, 0-0-0 USA South) today by a score of 6-1, but not without registering a few career firsts during the match.
The Falcons got off to a quick 1-0 lead, finding the back of the net within the first two minutes of play.
Pfeiffer would increase their lead to two at the 19-minute mark with the Vixens getting their first chance on goal in the closing minutes of the first half.
After a 3-0 goal by the Falcons ten minutes into the second half of play, Sweet Briar's offense began to come to life with two quick chances for graduate student
Caroline Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.).
Sophomore
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.) would get the Vixens on the board with her first collegiate goal at 67:32, bringing the score to 3-1.
Pfeiffer would find the back of the net three more times over the course of the next 23 minutes of play ending the game at 6-1.

Kaitlyn Barbour stated, "I'm proud of the girls for working a full 90 minutes. We are finding a little more success with each game we play. We're excited for Mary Baldwin [on] Thursday".

- Junior Delaney Armenti earned her first career point with the assist on J. Lewis' goal.
- Goalkeeper Katelyn Meyer (Smithsburg, Md.) tallied a season high in saves with 19.
- C. Lewis and J. Lewis led the team with two shots while both of J. Lewis' shots being on goal.
