HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 2 Single Discipline Sweet Briar College NCEA team (1-1, 1-0 ODAC) fell to the No. 4 Dartmouth College Big Green (1-1) in a raw score tiebreaker today, 632-619, after coming to a 4-4 tie following the competition of the meet.
The Vixens took two points from the Big Green in flat competition with senior
Emmy Longest (Hanover, Va.) earning the title of Most Outstanding Performer. Longest totaled a meet-high score of 88 to beat her Dartmouth competitor by six points.
Junior
Ella Peterson (Ashland, Va.) took home the second point for Sweet Briar with a 75 on Tiadora.
During the fences portion of the meet, both juniors
Katherine Atherton (Montpelier, Va.) and
Isabelle Mesiarik (Pottstown, Pa.) secured points.
Atherton scored an 85 on Candy while Mesiarik registered a 79 on Chica. Both riders earned one-point victories over their Big Green opponents.
After coming to a 4-4 tie following the competition of the meet, Dartmouth took the win on the raw score of 632-619.
Highlights
- Peterson took down Riley Dickman by 19 points in flat competition.
- Longest's score of 88 on the flat marks the highest score total by a Vixen so far this season.
