AMHERST, Va. – The Sweet Briar College soccer team (3-4) extended its win streak to three straight games today after taking down the Patrick Henry College Sentinels (0-4-1) by a score of 1-0 at Amherst County High School.
The Vixens had the offense firing on all cylinders this rainy afternoon with eleven shots on goal in the first 35 minutes of the game.
Junior
Emma Wilk (Roxbury, N.J.) got Sweet Briar on the board at the 38:08 mark with a shot from the left side that slipped through the Sentinel goalkeeper's hands.
The team kept the pressure on Patrick Henry, with 15 more shots in the second half of play, and allowed only three shots from the visitors in the final 45 minutes to take home the victory.

Trista Cleaves (Roxbury, N.J.) totaled six saves in net.
