SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College soccer team (3-8-0, 0-6-0) was taken down by the No. 6/15 Washington and Lee University Generals (11-1-0, 6-0-0) by a score of 11-0 this afternoon at Meyer Field.
The Generals tallied their first four goals of the game 20 minutes into the start of action and tacked on another three more to take a 7-0 lead into halftime.
Four additional goals by Washington and Lee in the second half of play gave the visitors the 11-0 victory.
Highlights
- In goal, sophomore Mia Viccora (Fairfax, Va.) recorded a career-high 16 saves.
- Fellow sophomore Elise Bennett (Louisa, Va.) led the team in shots.
What's Next
The Vixens will hit the road next week for contests at Averett and Guilford on Oct. 23rd and Oct. 26th, respectively.
