VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The No. 3 seed Sweet Briar College tennis team (18-4, 8-2 ODAC) fell into today's Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) semifinals match to the No. 2 seed/No. 44 Averett University Cougars (15-5, 9-1 ODAC) by a score of 5-0.
The Vixens fell behind early in the match as the Cougars took all three doubles points. The No. 2 duo of Caro/I. Guilarte managed to win six games against Jaison/Poulakidas while the No. 3 team of Caracciolo/van Eekelen took five against Batterman/Sultanova.
When the game was concluded following singles wins at No. 1 and No. 4 for Averett to take the 5-0 victory, senior
Isabela Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) was up 5-2 in set two against Siddhi Khandelwal in her No. 2 match.
First-year
