WINCHESTER, Va. – The Sweet Briar College lacrosse team (0-9, 0-6 ODAC) fell in today's evening contest at the Shenandoah University Hornets (9-5, 5-1 ODAC) by a score of 24-0.
The Hornets tallied the first goal of the game less than 20 seconds into action and kept the pace up from there with 13 in the first quarter and five in the second for the 18-0 lead at the half.
Six more goals from Shenandoah in the third quarter of play would see the game come to an early 24-0 conclusion in favor of the home team.
In goal, sophomore
Lizzie Mehl (Richmond Hill, Ga.) earned her first start of the season.
Highlights
- Both senior Jamison Tarver (Kingwood, Texas) and first-year Larkin Shire (Caroline County, Va.) led the team in caused turnovers.
- Junior Ashley Prevet (Nesconset, N.Y.) registered the only draw control for Sweet Briar.
