WACO, Texas – The Sweet Briar College NCEA team had five student-athletes earn All-Academic recognition, the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) announced today, April 8th.
Named to the First Team were seniors
Maggie Booth (Marietta, Ga.),
Naomi Dachis (Franklin Lakes, N.J.) and
Wyette Felton (Canton, Ga.) and sophomore
Gracie Robertson (Mocksville, N.C.).
Sophomore
Abigail Schreiner (Villa Rica, Ga.) earned a spot on the Second Team.
All five riders were also named to the All-Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the First Team, student-athletes must have competed in a minimum of 70% of their school's meets and earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
For Second Team honors, student-athletes must have competed in a minimum of 60% of their school's meets and earned a minimum GPA of 3.25.
This marks the fourth academic honor for Dachis and Felton, the third for Booth and the first for Robertson and Schreiner.
The Vixens will be in action next against No.1 Lynchburg at the NCEA National Championship semifinals.
