ASHLAND, Va. – Sweet Briar College has six student-athletes named to this year's Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team.
Named to the team were junior
Emmi Burdine (Field Hockey/Huntington Beach, Calif.), seniors
Wyette Felton (Equestrian/Canton, Ga.),
Jaiana Gray (Track & Field/Chicago, Ill.), and
Alex Guilarte (Tennis/Barquisimeto, Venezuela), and juniors
Emily Michel (Soccer/Centennial, Colo.) and
Kailei Minter (Golf/Martinsville, Va.).
Each school in Virginia is awarded six recipients who are of sophomore standing or higher, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 for the academic year, and maintain a roster spot in a varsity sport.
This marks the second VaSID Academic All-State honor for Felton and Gray and the first for Burdine, Guilarte, Michel, and Minter.
