FOREST, Va. – Sweet Briar College is pleased to announce that eight student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Winter and Spring Sportsmanship Teams, the conference announced Friday, July 3rd.
Named to the teams were the following student-athletes first-year
Hallie Nelson (Duette, Fla.) for equestrian, junior
Kailei Minter (Martinsville, Va.) for golf, junior
Mia Viccora (Fairfax, Va.) for indoor track & field, senior
Liz Carr (Charlottesville, Va.) for lacrosse, first-year
Tyasia Spencer (Fredericksburg, Va.) for outdoor track & field, junior
Emma Staton (Buckingham, Va.) for softball, sophomore
Karissa Boyce (Red Rock, Texas) for swimming, and senior
Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) for tennis.
"Sportsmanship and respect are fundamental to the ODAC's mission," said ODAC Commissioner Brad Bankston. "These student-athletes have been recognized for their commitment to fair play and respect for their opponents—qualities that deserve greater recognition. I thank these honorees for setting an outstanding example for all of us."
The ODAC has a rich tradition of promoting fair play and good sportsmanship across all sports within the league. The character of the conference's student-athletes on and off the field is a representation of not only the individuals and teams, but also the institutions for which they play.
