Enza Steele joined the Sweet Briar College field hockey program as a consultant in 2024.
Steele brings more than four decades of collegiate coaching, leadership, and athletic development experience to Steele Elite Coaching Strategies, LLC. A Hall of Fame coach and one of the most accomplished coaches in NCAA field hockey history, Steele has built a career centered on developing coaches, athletes, leaders, and championship-caliber programs.
Steele retired from the University of Lynchburg in 2023 after an extraordinary career as head field hockey coach. At the time of her retirement, she was the winningest active head field hockey coach in NCAA Division I, II, and III, with 666th career victory.
In January 2020, Steele was inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Hall of Fame, recognizing her extraordinary contributions to collegiate field hockey and coaching.

Steele's impact extends well beyond field hockey. Steele also served as head coach of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse program for 20 years, compiling 241 victories. Her combined victories in field hockey and lacrosse total 907, making her the winningest coach in ODAC history.
Her career has consistently focused on more than winning games. Steele believes sustainable success is built through strong leadership, intentional coaching, athlete development, accountability, culture, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Through Steele Elite Coaching Strategies, LLC, she now brings those experiences directly to coaches and athletic programs.
