Saint Josephs (Maine) ‘19
 
Meghan Burke joined the Sweet Briar College field hockey staff prior to the 2019-20 academic year.
 
Burke played four seasons of field hockey for Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, starting 58 of 63 games played. A defender for the Monks, Burke recorded five defensive saves during her collegiate career as Saint Joseph’s.
 
Beginning with her sophomore season, Burke was part of three-straight Great Northeast Athletic Conference championships and made three trips with the Monks to the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.
 
Off the field hockey pitch, Burke was a three-year member of the Saint Joseph’s indoor and outdoor track and field team, while also spending one season with the Monks’ lacrosse program.
 
Burke previously coached for Maine Styx Field Hockey Club, beginning in 2016, with the U12 Select Travel Team and with high school and middle school indoor leagues. With Maine Styx, Burke, provided on-field coaching, while also utilizing club curriculum to create weekly practice plans.
 
A two-time Dean’s List selection at Saint Joseph’s, Burke is a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society.
 
A native of Falmouth, Mass., Burke graduate from Saint Joseph’s in May of 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. Burke also earned minors in classical studies and English.
