Sarah Miller enters her first year as a Riding Fellow and assistant IHSA coach at Sweet Briar College in the spring of 2021.

A former member of the Sweet Briar riding program, Miller was a member of the IHSA team contributing to three Region Championships for the team and won three High Point Rider and two Reserve High Point Rider accolades.  

As a junior, she represented Sweet Briar at IHSA Nationals as the Collegiate Cup Limit Fences and Limit Flat Rider. She brought home a seventh in the Collegiate Cup Limit Fences and helped Sweet Briar earn an eighth overall at the 2019 IHSA National Horse Show. Her senior year, as one of the team captains, she was the Region Champion for Limit Fences qualifying for Zone Championship before the championship was canceled due to COVID.  

In addition to her time on the IHSA team, Sarah also rode on the inaugural NCEA team at Sweet Briar College during her sophomore year. 

Outside of collegiate competition, Sarah stayed involved in the riding program through competing at Southwest Virginia Hunter Jumper Association horse shows earning the title of Best Special Adult Rider at the 2017 SWVHJA Annual Horse Show and Reserve Champion of the Sweet Briar College Medal Finals at the 2019 SWVHJA Annual Horse Show. 

Numerous trophies at the Harriet Rogers Riding Center bear her name - including the Executive Challenge Trophy (2017), Preston Brown Award (2018), The Blackwell Trophy (2020), The Pink and Green Award (2020) and the Landino Memorial Trophy which she won three times during her time at Sweet Briar (2016, '18, '19). She was also a member of the Riding Council and earned her Trail Guide rank her junior year. 

After graduating from Sweet Briar this past spring, Sarah worked as a barn manager and rider at a sales barn in Port Orange, Fla.. 

A native of Culpeper, Va., Miller graduated from Sweet Briar College with a degree in Business and the Equine Management Certificate.
