Box Score The Vixen Field Hockey team battled the Hornets of Shenandoah
University in a tightly contested match before falling 3-0.
The two teams fought to a scoreless tie at the half until the
Hornets were able to push across the eventual game winner early in
the second half.
Sweet Briar was led offensively by Senior Co-Captain Lindsay
Eneguess (Peterborough, N.H.) who fired off four shots.
Freshmen Loralei Whittaker (Chesapeake, Va.) and Morgan Harris
(Chesapeake, Va.) and sophomore Julie Dopheide (Glen Mills, Penn.)
also registered shots for the Vixens. Defensively, Madeline
Wilson ('12/Orange, Va.) was strong in net and the
defensive line of Dopheide and Maggie McNamara
('11/Arlington, Va.) played well throughout.
The Vixens return to the field on Saturday, October
16th, when they host Eastern Mennonite University for a
clash beginning at 2pm at Thayer Field.
