Sweet Briar Travels to Roanoke for Season Finale

The Sweet Briar Vixen field hockey team traveled to Roanoke College to play their final game of the season.  Despite a team improvement in performance, it was not enough to overtake the Maroons.  Roanoke won by a score of 2-0.

Sweet Briar's Dana Craft ('13/Derwood, Md.) and first-year player Morgan Harris (Chesapeake, Va.) made the offensive strikes against the Maroons.  Dana had three shots on goal for the evening, while Morgan had four.  All were denied with saves by Roanoke.

On the defensive end of the field, goalkeeper Emma Rakosky ('1/Ellicott City, Md.) played the entire game.  Rakosky is credited with  making seven saves from a total of eleven shots on goal for the night.

This was the final game for the Vixens 2010 season.
