Box Score The Sweet Briar field hockey team exploded for six goals on
Sunday to take down Bryn Mawr in a non-conference match played at
Wilson College.
The scoring began just over halfway through the 1st
half, when midfielder Alexandra
St. Pierre ('11/So. Hamilton, Mass.) buried a penalty stroke in
the back of the net for her 3rd goal of the season. St.
Pierre struck again, this time off an assist from fellow co-captain
Lindsay
Eneguess ('11/Peterborough, N.H.), to close to out the scoring
for the first half.
The Vixens struck again less than five minutes into the
2nd half, as senior Alicia Modzelewski (Virginia Beach,
Va.) scored a goal taking a feed from Dana Craft
('13/Derwood, Md.) . Eneguess then struck with an unassisted
goal with 10:58 remaining, followed quickly by a tally from
freshman Loralei
Whittaker (Chesapeake, Va.) off a corner. Fellow freshman
Morgan
Harris (Chesapeake, Va.) rounded out the Vixen scoring, putting
in a shot on a feed from Craft.
Goalkeepers Emma Rakosky
('12/Ellicott City, Md.) and Madeline Wilson ('12/Orange, Va.)
combined to keep the Owls off the board.
The Vixens return to the field Saturday, September
25th as they host Bridgewater College at 1:30pm as part
of Sweet Briar Homecoming. Fans are reminded that parking
will be limited, please plan ahead. Also, the SBC Field
Hockey Alumnae Game will be held following the Bridgewater match,
fans are invited to stay and cheer on our alums!
