Box Score The Sweet Briar Field Hockey team hosted the Eagles of
Bridgewater College on a gorgeous afternoon celebrating Homecoming
at the college. The Vixens were within striking distance at
the half, but the Eagles put together a few quick goals in the
second half which put the game out of reach, with the final score
8-1.
The Vixens received their goal off the stick of senior
midfielder Lindsay Eneguess (Peterborough, N.H.), off an assist
from fellow midfielder Alexandra St. Pierre ('12/So.
Hamilton, Mass.). Juniors Emma Rakosky (Ellicott City, Md.)
and Madeline Wilson (Orange, Va.) both saw time in the cage for
Sweet Briar. Rakosky made eight saves while allowing 6 goals
and Wilson made one save while allowing two goals.
Sweet Briar returns to action Wednesday, September
29th , when they travel to Lynchburg College to take on
the Hornets beginning at 4:30pm.
